  1. Add better explanation of memory optimized VMs

The page discussing different VM families and the child page specifically about memory-optimized VM families could do with a bit of added clarity. Having confusion within a particular family (ex D1v2-D5v2 are general purpose and D11v2-D15v2 are memory optimized) is not particularly intuitive and providing more direct explanations or a graphic would go a long way in assisting VM selection. It seems like there is disproportionate focus on number of vCPUs and performance on a page that's supposed to be articulating memory specifics.

    • Highlight whichever rightNav ## H2 is currently at top of browser display.

Some articles are longer than most, and have more ## H2 sections than most (and long articles are good). When I vertically scroll further into the article, I often can no longer see which H2 section the scroll is in. Comprehending the article becomes problematic, like a floor map that lacks a "You Are Here" indicator. Therefore...
Please auto-highlight (color, bold) whichever rightNav H2 link corresponds to the current vertical scroll location. Thanks. GeneMi 2017/11/03

      • More Screenshots & Graphics in Documentation

While your documentation maintains a consistent and well thought out structure, much of it is far too wordy and difficult-to-follow. It's not that it's hard, it just makes my eyes glaze over and I get the TL;DR twitch and start clicking away or searching for answers another way. Some of it is almost as dry as reading an IETF or W3.org spec, lol.

Please start adding useful screenshots to documentation where it makes sense. I'm not saying go crazy, but this is especially helpful for very long articles to break it up with some helpful images, graphs, etc.

        • Correct Kerberos event descriptions in the documentation

          Hello,

As I worked with my customer on the monitoring recommendations, I found an error in the official Microsoft documentation, regarding the Result Codes of the Kerberos Event documentation.

          Error:
          0xC
          KDC_ERR_POLICY
-> Requested start time is later than end time
This error is usually the result of logon restrictions in place on a user’s account. For example workstation restriction, smart card authentication requirement or logon time restriction.

          What should be written there:
          0xC
          KDC_ERR_POLICY
          -> KDC policy rejects request.
This error is usually the result of logon restrictions in place on a user’s account. For example workstation restriction, smart…

            • The Coreinfo documentation is confusing.

              The sentence:
"For example, on a 4-core system, a line in the cache output with a map of shared by cores 3 and 4."
appears in both your online and command-line documentation for coreinfo. I did not find it helpful.

              • Add versioning to Programming Guides

I programming guides, if best practices or recommended guidance changes between library versions, provide a way to select the version of .NET (or Core, etc) that you're using. This would be better than always providing docs on the latest versions.

For example, in the C# Programming Guide, Pattern Matching may be the best way of achieving something in the latest code, but it would not be possible with older tooling/frameworks.

Some way to navigate back in time on the docs for older guidance would be really useful.

                • For some code snippets, would be cool to run them live using hacker rank or something

For some code snippets, I wish I could run them live right there for quick tests and to confirm that the code works. This is useful when I'm on my phone and I'm not actually able to run the code on my computer.

                  • Link Docs articles to Certification or Exam Numbers and Make it searchable

If we can tag/link the articles in the docs to a Microsoft Certificate or an Exam number and make that searchable, it will be easy for developer to gather the necessary content and prepare for certification

                    • Build a Win32 API browser

I work with Win32 APIs day in and day out. It'd be really handy to have a site similar to the .NET API browser that allows for the browsing and searching of Win32 APIs.

The Windows API Index does a decent job at this (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ff818516(v=vs.85).aspx) but it's unclear when this has been last updated.

The browser could also offer clear guidance, perhaps via a flag or icon of sorts, of which APIs are deprecated, not-recommended, and direct users elsewhere quickly and easily.

Some potential ideas for bucketing (like Quick Filters on the .NET page?):

                        • Add "Sign in with GitHub"

Allow people to "Sign in With" GitHub since the other options are 1) intimidate people because they're too personal-related for people to use at work and 2) if you work with open source at Microsoft, 9 times out of 10 you have a GitHub account too.
